Wasilla to Either border crossing Back into the US is only about 1900 miles. Fuel was really available Along the way. I like the Cassier Highway my self, but the Alcan is more Civilized. The last trip I made was before the Covid Closing. My wife and I and the new(to me) 2016 3500 HO, Aisin I had gotten in 2020, along with a Northstar hard side. Was set to take that trip up. But was not allowed, as it was not Neccesary in the Border guards minds. Long story with that. The BG were Dicks at that time. Made my wife almost cry, and were not nice in any since of the word.
I believe now days, you can not just show up at the border with out a plan. Like they want to know what your travel plans are, Which highway you are taking, How many days, where you are staying along the way. At that time, I did not know Parts of the Cassier was not open due to Rain, mud slides. Anyhow, I felt dump that day at the border.
Your travels thru Canada, you should have enough DEF if filled up in Wasilla before you left. I alway like traveling with
at least a 1 gallon jug tucked away for Emergencys. But to each their own.
Beautiful country, lots and lots of water in the form of Lakes and rivers in NWT, Yukon, BC, Bit less when you cross into
Alberta. But none the less a very cool drive.
Driving the Dempster to the Arctic Ocean is another great drive, Very Beautiful country.

Did you know, that your dash can be switch to KM rather easy. Was a real nice feature to stay with in the Speed limits.
Enjoy the trip.

My Tractor Supply had special 2ea 2.5 gallon jugs for $20 or $15.99 ea. I bought 4. 2 jugs will go in MH, and will top off again when we get back from upcoming trip. Sale wasn't at other nearby TS, and dates were good. As we all say: don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Yes I have been in the country before a few times so no surprises Keep your tank full. Funny thing about the border guards . The Canadians ones are always pretty nice. They see the alaska plates. But when I come back to alaska the border guys are always just awful . There’s other words I could use but better not. They got you and they know it. They really enjoy the power trip. Just awful. We go to the Yukon quite a bit. Its like going to another state for us. I really like the Yukon by Whitehorse. Beautiful river Last time I was in Whitehorse I had some fuel hose / pressure issues. People were very helpful in getting me repaired .

Also there’s a road number you can call for hiway info fuel etc. And a current milepost is a must. Things open and close on the Alcan on a whim. I try to buy my fuel from active stations not remote mom and pops Carry spare fuel filter is a must I believe

I call this the Dump Syndrome because that's the way the fellows at the dump are. They have the lowliest job in the county, but you WILL do what they say while you're there. This seems to be pretty normal in public service positions. I get it at the County Clerk's office and the little town cops are the same way. With the cops the city police are the worst, then the county deputies, and the state troopers have always been very respectful and polite.

How much is it at the pump for a gallon? The prices above here for a jug are ridiculous! A gallon shouldn't be more then 3-4$. That's what we pay in EU for that stuff.

FYI, here's a chart for the pot life of DEF based on temperature. I picked it out of an older Cummins presentation.
