KT Still supports breathing on the Rail Road Tracks to stop Trains, That Picture is not allowed by forum Rules.

That mentally disturb over DEF, Is a sign Illusory has overtaken their comprehension.

KT wants everyone to follow his agenda, In all cases is some else's Agenda motivate by Affiliation's to promote More personal agenda.

I welcome anyone that finds the need to challenge the status quo. and that's what 32.5%, its not necessary, put's additional burdens on the Vehicles dependability just to satisfied the API Cert....that KT supports is magical.

Their are No laws or a downside to lower concentrated (DEF) use in Bluetech Systems.

All those DEF brands are made in a couple or three places . I have used Walmart , Peak and everything in between the only difference I noticed was price !

I've got about 1600 miles on the mixture of 2.5 gallons DEF with 2 gallons of distilled water. My DEF gauge now reads close to 1/2 tank. The gauge was in the red when I added the mixture, the mix brought it to full. No cel's no codes. Def I have always used is walmart supertech and walmart DW. Im going to continue with that mix as long as there are no codes related to DEF and I don't expect any. At first I had my doubts

My trip to Cheyenne and Guernsey Wy. went well on the mixture of 2.5 gallons of DEF + 2 gallons of distilled water. A few overnights in Guernsey were in the single digits. I'm sure the DEF tank was froze solid at those temps, guess the heater in the tank did it's job never a MIL I don't know what the % urea is, I need to get a refractometer. Made a stop on the way home at Colorado springs walmart topping of the def with 1 gallon DEF and 1 gallon distilled water, DW ran over before the jug was empty.

Here I am almost a year since I started running the diluted DEF. Gauge was in the red for the past couple of days so off to walmart today. Added 2.5 gallons def + 2 gallons of walmart DW now gauge reads full. Never a problem with the Def system or the truck for that matter. Pulled my 5th wheel from central Tx to the Denver area and over to Glenwood springs only twice this year. The truck is a solid pulling beast. Been running the 2.5 - 2 mix almost since the beginning.

The reason it works for you is the early trucks do not have a DEF quality sensor. Later model trucks will end up with a CEL and eventual derate at those concentrations. The derate occurs at 22% or less. See The Rest of the Story in TDR issue 109.
FYI, your DEF usage should be about 50% higher then it would be with 32.5% DEF. In order to reduce the NOx to an acceptable level the truck still has to use an adequate amount of DEF to make the reduction.

Could very well be that the truck is using more DEF, I have never tracked it. When it's time to add, I add. Haven't been driving it much this summer, usually add only 1 gal to 1 gal but Walmart was out of the DEF gallons so 2.5 DEF + 2 gal DW put it on the full mark. Can't hardly wait to "get on the road again". Stay safe Sag2

In 2013 I had DEF check light come on on my first RAM w/DEF. A prominent member of this board who worked with Chrysler looked into the issue and due to where I live, Phoenix, recommended in the summer time when temps don't go below 85 at night, to 115 in the day, keep the tank at 1/4-3/8 max full. Unless using the truck etc daily and burning def. High temps will degrade DEF quickly. There is a chart out there somewhere we both looked at. Inside a store at 75-78 degree's it can sit for quite some time.

I know this thread is on supertech but I just noticed no date on my purchased 7 weeks ago Peak Blue DEF that I picked up at WM when last pulling the 5r. I almost never look at the date because the stock at WM generally moves fast. I did not use as much pulling the 5r as I thought I would and this 2.5gl is getting stored in the a/c. I just moved it and noticed no date code anywhere and none in the two normal spots. When did they drop using the code? A vid from Nov. 2019 still shows code.
My sample has no code

I’ve too noted the lack of codes on Peak DEF sold at WalMart. At our local Wally, that code that was imprinted on the box has been missing for a couple of years. As WalMart is where I always buy my DEF, I cannot say if other outlets that sell Peak are also missing the date code. However I always buy the WalMart brand, I do try to compare the freshness date on both brands to how old the Walmart brand is compared to the more expensive Peak. I do on occasion find a few jugs of the Walmart brand several weeks older then other jugs. I like the mental challenge and puzzle work needed in deciphering the Peak date code rubiks cube. But like I said, those Peak boxes have no code on for a couple of years now.
As an aside, I also remove the cap to make sure the paper seal underneath the plastic caps are still glued to the jug. 50/50 it is not. And many jugs have dried DEF on the exterior indicating leaking product.
