you sure you don't mean " so I don't have to go to all that extra work of clicking on an image?"
you are the first person to point out how difficult it is to click on a photo icon.![]()
Here are some shots of the top side on a Series 60 Detroit that we suspect was run with extended drain intervals and synthetic oil.
We had a large fleet a few years back that tried the same thing and every one of the engines we opened up had the same sludge and wear. They went back to traditional oil and drain intervals.
......I'll continue using normal drain cycles and dino oil....
I do not know the hours on this engine but it the 26th one we have overhauled from the same fleet, a couple of them required some crank polishing, most of them needed rocker shafts which is a little unusual.....all were very nasty inside.

Synthetics don’t let you run any longer on oil than Dino oil does. Simple fact are facts.
It sure doesn't make sense to me, I know it gives some a warm fuzzy feeling, and its their choice. Its great we have a choice.
Yet people will argue about it anyway.
Semi Synthetic is being pushed for the next generation DTNA engines, I think it is this simple....boosts the fuel mileage ratings.....

Boosts the fuel mileage ratings, I am pretty anxious to see those results using this synthetic on my next oil change. I will be sure to post the results
Bear in mind this may be a slight increase under controlled testing, but it gives bragging rights on a 500 truck deal to a fleet plus makes the EPA a tad happier...
