I showed them for your pleasure and your comparison.

Your right I saved even more by running a quality Mopar filter.

Why not just use a NAPA then if it’s all about saving Money?
But you get yours at a discount from your sons business. So not really a creditable post from you, honest yes, but sneaky.

I also use Premium products for 15,000 miles for less then half the price.

Actually I used $15 for the filter. You showed I can get the same for $13.

You're catching on, now next time save even more, maybe over $60.00 in savings.

Basic school yard math.
150,000 miles.
15,000 mile oil changes = 10 oil changes.
Save upwards of $60.00 per oil change.
$60×10=$600.00

OR

Wisely shopping.
$50 per oil change × 10 = $500.00

Feel good shopping.
$110.00 per oil change × 10 = $1,100.00

Choose wise shopping or feel good shopping, it's a free country so far.

Modern day thinking of, "it's only a couple dollars,". How many times do people say that about how many products and times in a given year? I've lived that scenario in my head for close to 61 years, instilled by my father born in 1924 and who grew up in the 1930's depression, instilled from 3 Generations of forefathers who settled North Dakota prairie. On 1 of the quarters of land we own there use to be 5 homesteads, only a couple bucks let's waste it right, wrong. Worked too hard for my money and respect what my forefathers sacrificed. Others have different stories, I'll stick with what has worked for our family.

Disclaimer:
All prices are within a given few dollars. LOL

Rams recommendations come from Cummins.

After posting this I started second guessing myself, so I dug out my 2017 ISB/QSB6.7 manual. The temperature/viscosity recommendations are indeed a little different. I'm pretty sure i posted this on here when I first got it but haven't looked at it in some time and it had slipped my mind. Notice it says synthetic is recommended if ambient temperature is CONSISTENTLY below -13*F.

The other fleet advantage is than all non-Ram/Dodge ISB’s have a much larger oil sump. The Ram gets a simp smaller than the “small” sump.

Not saying Ram ISB’s are dying from it, just pointing it out. A Ram pickup makes more power with less oil volume than any other land based ISB. Oil will he treated worse as a result. QSB’s make more power and hold more oil, but marine duty cycle is very different.

What you are saying makes sense, but comparing Ram and Cummins service intervals they are all the same, 500 hrs/6 months (now 12). The QSB's in the cranes I run are actually rated at less hp than the Ram with a much larger cooling system and oil sump. Cummins rates their engines based on duty cycle, the higher hp generally the lower the duty cycle. I haven't seen what duty cycle they rate the Ram based ISB but I'm guessing it's on the lower end based on the size of the cooling system and oil sump, as you noted.

Or install one of these in addition to the $13-$15 filter for filtration worth talking about?

Sorry the image is soooo small compared to the other AMSOIL products that are larger than life.

Edit: There are also toilet paper bypass filters which get high reviews. I opted not to use the toilet paper bypass oil filter because I am aware of the lint that comes off of toilet paper. Additionally, you never know when there will be a shortage of T.P.?????

I would assume the discrepancy in duty cycle vs oil sump capacity would come from operating environment. I would bet 95%-99% of Ram trucks never come close to the dusty dirty continuously all day conditions most heavy equipment are subjected to.

2018 Laramie? That couldn't have been as cheap as a 2018 Tradesman. Will the Laramie last longer? And with an Aisin! Not cheap

Ignorant comment since you don't know what I paid for my beautiful truck. Might have even paid less than you did for your tradesmen.
