I had a front driveshaft rebuilt on my 05 dually a year ago. I started having a vibration problem and started looking into the rear driveshaft, tire balance, rear differential and transmission mount. I thought it cannot be the front driveshaft, since I just had it rebuilt. I have been hearing a ticking noise in the front driver's side of the truck. It would start at exactly 20 mph and would hear it until I stopped. I figured it was driver's side axle u-joint because I have not replaced it yet. Although it did look bad, it did not solve my ticking noise. I jacked the driver's side tire off the ground and spun the tire and happen to be watching the front driveshaft. I got underneath the truck and could move the shaft up and down quite a bit. I removed the shaft and got rid of my noise. I found out the guy that rebuilt the shaft did not grease the u-joint before assembling(non-greasable joint). I was told some u-joints have a nylong spacer in the cap and could of lost that during the assembly. I got a new u-joint installed for free and now have a quiet truck from 0-75 mph. To make a long story longer, it is easy to overlook the simple stuff and human errors can happen.
