I was changing my 6spd fluid today and my friend handed me the bottles and after i was done i noticed that i put 4 quarts of rp syncromax and 2 rp 75w90 gear oil, will this harm anything?

My books are in my truck, and I am just to lazy to go get them right now, but I would get the stuff out of there ASAP. The 75-90 is way to heavy. Not to mention that they might not be compatible.

I know that there are folks using all different kinds of lube sucessfully, but not 75-90 that I recall seeing. The specified lube is very expensive and I would use it if you are still under warranty. I never reccomend to mix lubricants due to possible additive package incompatibility.

I just checked the royal purple website and it says that the snycromax is a good fluid for the nv5600 and the 75w90 is the fluid that they put in the nv4500. So, i really hope there is no major problem because i towed my trailer last night and i need to tow again tonight. The part stores around here don't have any stock fluid in tonight. Can someone tell me the signs if there starts to be a problem. please

The extreme pressure (EP) additives in the 75W-90 are NOT compatible with the yellow metal and will slowly cause the syncronizer metal to break down. Get that fluid out of there NOW and put the spec. fluid in it. You may get by for the short term but you are not doing your trans. any favors.

If you think that the Mopar Lubricant is expensive (and it is) wait till you start laying out the samolias for a new gearbox! You can pay it now or...

What a coincidence, I was installing my new Mag-Hytec rear differential cover and was putting Royal Purple in. I had some Royal Purple syncromax on hand for when I change my clutch out.

Long story short, My sisters boyfriend came over and wanted to help so he was handing me the oil to poor in. Low and behold I happened to look at one of the bottles and it was SYNCHROMAX! Luckily I hadnt poured any in the rear end yet and I checked and rechecked all the bottles that had been opened that I had poured in already. I lucked out thankfully.

To my knowledge, SYNCHROMAX is NOT an approved fluid for the NV5600 nor does it meet specification requirements for use in the NV5600 either. It WILL void your trans. warranty should any lubrication related issues arise with your NV5600. Price one of those lately? It ain't worth it. In the event of a lubrication related failure, DC and New Venture WILL request an oil analysis to verify spec. fluid is in the trans. Ask me how I know? ;)

Sorry I have seen what the stock stuff does for your transmission and I want no part of it. Look at my sig..... can you say "I am my own warranty station"?
