Rob H. is alive and well over on the dark side

... . I've been there and seen it with my own eyes!
I'm gonna throw my 2 cents in here now-like any of you really care

. I have no problem with paying the $35 dues over here-in the year-and-a-bit that I've been a member I've recouped way more than that in knowledge that would either never have come my way or would have been gained the hard way... . there's a lot of smart cookies over here-and not just in the CTD field. Man, I can't count how much I've learned about stuff that's nowhere near related to our truck stuff... plus I got introduced to GP courtesy of danandme

. That's worth the price of admission alone! I have picked up the odd tidbit of info from the mag-but I sure wouldn't pay the $35 for it alone.
I gotta agree that the benefits of sending out a TDR bumper sticker with your subscription renewal card would far outweigh the costs... even up here in podunk Alberta there's a ton of CTD's running around with their owners being fed goods as far as BOMB's go-or even routine maintenance for that matter. How many guys would actually sign up from reading the sticker? Beats me-but if 1 did in a year's time I would think that would pay the sticker's cost quite a few times over.....
I understand too where the guys complaining about the multiple posts on past-covered topics are coming from. I lurked here for a long while before I registered... . and after I registered I didn't post very much. You still won't find me posting near as much as some of the guys who actually know something

- I only chime in when I've bought it, used it, sold it, or know somebody with it..... unless I've been drinking heavily in which case I often spew verbal diahrrea all over the place

-then all bets are off...

I try to put back into here what I've gotten out of here-I think that's what all of us try to do.
I plan to stay a member here until the benefits I get (read knowledge from this site) don't equal the outlay I make. If that time comes, and I truly hope it doesn't, I'll move on to greener pastures. I am over on the "other side" now as well-in the 24 hours that have elapsed since I registered they've had over 20 new members sign up. I have no way to categorize how many of the members over there are trolls, or malcontents, or whathaveyou... . but I do know that I recognize a lot of the usernames over there-and quite a few of the handles I don't are guys from here using different ones. Time will tell how things will shape up-I sure don't have a crystal ball to tell how it's gonna shape up. But I do know that once they hit a critical mass over there-and by that I mean enough of the smart guys to seriously draw interest-it'll be like a snowball rolling downhill. I've been through this before with the Cherokee forums I used to hang out in... .
They say competition is a good thing right? Guessing we'll find out... my opinions anyways!
