Diesel Exhaust System laws??

cat decals?

I thought it was a great issue. I enjoyed Mr. Donnelly's article on the 3rd gen. I never even considered one til I read the article.

I found the Dodge, Ford and GM test very interesting. I like a good comparision test.

I realize dyno testing costs money, but I would like to see some more comparision testing of various parts like camshafts, fueling boxes, ported heads, intercoolers, timing changes, BioDiesel fuel, etc.

The EGT Gauge, Air filter and Gear oil comparsions in previous issues were very informative.

I agree.

I finally got my copy yesterday. I read it while I ate dinner and don't really see what all the fuss is about. I thought it was OK. There have been better, but overall I was interested in a few of the articles and ofcourse well written. I thought the one on brakes was well done. I already knew most of it, but the break down on the different DOT levels was great I learned alot about that.

I just consider the mag a BONUS..... the real info is all right here on the website and the nice thing is it is "searchable". Can't get any better than that. :)

Our mag. is in a constant state of change, just as our trucks are, New trucks bigger engines, change, change change. the vendors are constantly building new products to keep up with the wants of the new truck customers. Nothing stays the same. Even my old Ist Gen 12v seems to have become the hot rodders weapon of choice.

I'm waiting 4 my 1st issue, hopefully they will have a centerfold of a few BACKYARD WRESTLING trailer park barbies missin a few teeth in it, that may get more subscribers in general???:p

I greatly enjoy the magazine and all the articles written it. Kudo's to all of our writers. For the naysayers, I'm sure the magazine is open to anyone who thinks that they can publish an article or two regarding our trucks.

Keep em coming.

He's saying the older trucks are still favored for serious bombing... the big switch turned to the newer "over valved" trucks, leaving everyone's old pal the 12v out in the cold... but now some migrate back to the good ole 12V for bombing.

I like mine. TDR Magazine that is.

Sure some stuff is boring and not of interest to me, but then again some other mags I subscribe to are the same way.

Sure beats staring at the wall while you're on the pooper.

I like the mag. Sure, there are parts of the mag that doesn't apply to my truck, but I'm pretty sure they don't publish it just to make me happy. Its like the Harley mags I subscribe to. I just go pass the $50,000 billet barges to the articles I want to read.

I'm a retired newspaperman and can assure complainers that magazines are (ahem) like lots of other things: some of 'em are good while others aren't. It depends on what's inside.

I too would like to see more articles about performance, etc. , but I also understand that Robert has to stay on the good side of DC and Cummins. He also doesn't want to get sued because some yo-yo took his advice, bought a box and blew up his truck.

But as Steve St. Lawrence said, call manufacturers and ask them to write an article about their product. If they won't, ask them why they don't want free publicity.

I can tell you why some of 'em won't write anything: it's called L I A B I L I T Y. Manufacturers' ads contain language that protect the company. News stories from readers (non-experts, in other words) don't contain such language, which is why they are interesting.

But if a manufacturer believes in his product and is willing to write about what it will do, urge him to do so.

In the meantime, quit complaining about an otherwise decent, member-to-member publication. I'm glad it's here.

This new issue SUCKS!!! That is the most boring mag they have ever produced! They need to get some real performance guys to write some articles. At least test some new products too. If I get another issue this boring, I am cancelling my prescription.

They MUST have printed a diffrent issue special for me. I am enjoying the current issue, and will read it cover to cover. As always there will be those that cast stones before thinking, and those that do not share the same interests as others. I would suggest a precription to another magazine that may suit your needs better than the TDR. I have recieved the TDR since the 1st issue and have kept them all. There are many reference articles in them I can use in my shop. Sorry you feel the way you do.
