tdr rear brake disc conversion

I just did the complete drum to disc rear brake conversion. I Have a question to anyone who has done this before. I got a rear s/s braided #2 lbs. check valve hose. I can not find where it goes. I assume it replaces the vent hose??? but the block provided doesn't match at all and it seems not quite rite. The instructions with the product is pretty crappy and no pictures to illustrate where it goes. So all is clear why i bought the conversion, is that my rear drums didn't brake properly no matter how often i adjusted them. I literally replaced the front pads 15 times and the shoes are original.!!! any info on this hose would be truly appreciated.

I'm confused,. Can you elaborate more on what you are calling the vent hose? Perhaps the rear weight proportioning valve?

I can sympathize with the poor rear braking on the gen2, but there are other options aside from an expensive conversion. Larger wheel cylinders and disconnecting the weight proportioning valve and permanently turning it up make a huge difference.

Well there is a block attached to the axle tube on the diverside of the tube. You have the brake line from the front, then one line from block to left rear and one to right rear. And a rubber tube on top of block that goes up past the top of shock braket( this would be the vent hose ). I did know of all the options that you described but a rear disc system is what I opted for.

It sounds like you are describing the axle vent. Sorry, I'm not familiar with the kit you are referring to to help you with your question.

well got it all figured out, it bypasses the rear weight proportioning valve. it does hook onto the axle.

OP, did you mean the EGR disc brake conversion?
