Saw it again at a resturant so I got a good look. It's a V10 so I guess it doesn't belong to anyone here. Still looked good. I have seen those wheels on the APP website and I didn't think I would like them, but I do. He was running 245/70-19. 5 and I would probably run one size smaller.

Hey Jeff

Jeff I live in Quinlan but I travel all over. It sounds like your in Wylie quite a bit. Do you ever make it to Rockwall or Rowlett. If your interested I can tell you about some of the somewhat local cruise nights I attend. The coolest is Keller's off of Northwest Hwy its on Sat nights. Sometimes Rowlett draws a decent crowd on Thursday afternoon/evening too. When we go to Keller's We take my truck to race the Dakota R/Ts and the rice burners. We take a 2000 Camaro SS with 1000hp+ to race most of the fast street cars, and we take a bad Green 72 Chevelle with a 1180hp n/a (1875 on N. O. S. ) to run the streetable track cars. Let me know sometime and we'll meet up.

Crawler,

I've been to Sammy Walkers BBQ several times. I have a 32 Ford American Graffiti replica that I drive most of the time, but I have taken my 69 Z-28 a few times. I also go to the Chuck's at Coit and Arapaho on the 2nd Sat and the Chuck's at 121 and Preston on the 3rd Sat. I have never been to Keller's. Like to go sometime. Shoot me an e-mail sometime.

Hey Jeff we've had a couple of 69 z-28s in the past, but the current project is a vortech supercharged LS-1 in a 68 SS. We are putting the superchaged, head, and cam LS-1 and the six speed in the car this motor dynoed around 600 to the wheels in the 2000 SS it came out of. It'll be a little while before its done. But it will look like a mint original Marina Blue with white stripes 68 SS. It will look like original inside and out; ralleye wheels, tick tock tach, black/white hounds tooth interior and all. Well except for that six speed shifter. What do you mean that shifter shouldn't be in there. Its my car I think I should know what should be in there. At least that's what I say to the inquisitive people.

There's nothing better than a LS-1 in an older car. My dad and I just finished a 56 Bel Air with all Corvette suspension, LS-1 and a 6 speed. Looks all original except for the Camaro SS wheels. Right now we are doing a 66 Corvette with the same setup. Then we have a 63 Oldsmobile Jetfire with a LS-1 and auto.

Any Austin TX TDR members lurking out there?

We are in Austin for a visit with daughter wondered if HillCountryKid is still peeking in here once in a while and anyone else out there that would like to get together for coffee some morning this week. Or even next week as not sure when we will be going back to MO. We tried to make connection with deezel1 up at Waco but didn't manage to make connections, duh gave him the wrong cell phone #. I will check here everyday to see if anyone is around that wants to chat. Anyone going to May Madness?

We might have if keeping the Grandkids didn't take priority

See ya on the road if not before. .

Mrs. Jack Piercy (Patsy) I do the computer stuff for hubby. .

If you guys are around Dallas Saturday morning, stop in for a Big D Dodge Diesel meeting. If your interested, I'll give you directions.

thanks for the invite

HillCountryKid nice visit

Glad you could work it out to chat for the afternoon with Jack. It is always more interesting to talk to someone that knows what you are talking about.

Who dat?

Spotted a member's rig towing a late 60's primered muscle car (Chevelle?) on Hwy 6 in Missouri City headed north at about 7:15 5/5/03.

Came up behind you, saw a couple of clouds of black smoke, pulled up beside you, caught your member sticker, gave you a thumbs up and dang if I could hardly outrun you!

Next time I'll holler at you. I was in the burgundy Ram, in case you're wondering what I'm talking about.

passed a green extended cab 2500 4x4 today on east bound I20 in grand prairie, had to TDR red bumper stickers on the bumper, i passed you in the fast lane in a red 01. 5 dulley. .

I think that might have been John Allen's truck. He was a member of the Dallas chapter and then moved south back in 97 or 98. Haven't seen him in a long time, but he had a 95 extended cab 4x4 with a topper. I remeber he had the red TDR bumper stickers that cam out back in 95 or 96.

Traveled through TX on 75 & I35 and 82

didn't see any TDR stickers, but unless we were behind you which was likely, but never for long as usually we are traveling at 5 mph below speed limit. :p Did manage to get together with HillCountryKid in Austin but wondering where everyone else was as we really tried to watch for TDR stickers. I think we need a bigger sticker..... :) Anyone go to May Madness?

FM 407 near Justin, TX

I met a blue 2nd gen 2500 about 5 PM on May 15th just east of Justin, TX on FM 407 heading west. The truck had a TDR grille badge and a "sweet tooth" grille.

Who could that be? A local TDR member I don't know?

Bill Stockard, that would have been me. The wife and I were headed over to Decatur. Forgive me I did not see your

TDR badge. Look forward to meeting you sometime.

Jeff

Edit: Bill, I looked at your pics, nice rig. I am sorry I can't remember seeing you, but I have slept since then..... :D

Edit2: Memory circuits are stirring, somewhere near 377 ?

Jeff,

Thanks for the reply!

We were on our way home with the new '03. We had just picked it up at Decatur and didn't have the TDR grille badge installed yet.

You were just east of Justin on FM 407 about a mile from the intersection of FM 156. We live between Justin and Argyle and travel FM 407 frequently.

If you ever have a Saturday morning free, you would be welcome at our BDDDC meetings at Bic's Coffee Shop at 9 AM. Normally, we meet on the second Saturday of the month except for May and June this year because of the Mothers and Fathers Day weekends. We are meeting the first Saturday in June.
