Whatched an F-16 practice for an airshow the following day. Sights ands sounds are incredible.

As good as a jet turbine sounds, it does'nt beat the sound of a P-51. A supercharger so loud you can hear it over 12 screaming cylinders.

Top fuelers are also awesome. 2nd loudest thing I've ever heard.

NASCAR qualifiing. 700 hp + straight exhaust + super quick shifts = .

I have to admit that locomotives at full throttle sound pretty cool, but it reminds me too much of the loudest thing I've ever heard.

A couple of years ago, up at Elk Camp in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, some sort of owl was screeching or hooting near camp at about 1am... . That was way cool...

Seafair weekend in Seattle, on a boat just North of the bridge as The Blue Angels do their high speed turns right over your head. Then the low level high speed flyby... ... . Even better when it pulls your eyes away from the half naked hottie in the boat next to you. The sound of 20 twin big block offshore boats firing up at the same time.
