Laugh it up fellas. I spray bombed the rust spots with flat black on my old green D100 pickup back in college. What I really wanted to do was roll the whole thing with Allis Chalmers orange rust paint and giver an 02 on the doors . I didn't have the $$ to spare for the paint though (times were tough).
