Just finished upgrading the MIL gauge to the MIL gauge2 with a Autometer Ultralite 2 5/8" vac. /boost gauge. The original MIL had a 0-15 psi Ultralite mechanical FP gauge, which was short of about 2 psi's of what I needed (this is my pre-filter gauge). I wanted to keep this one mechanical and an Autometer, but 100 psi's was not what I wanted, so the boost gauge fit the bill as it tops out at 20 psi's. It will also show vaccum to 30 in hg, something I will hopefully never see

Anyhow, I used the existing -4AN braided line that was the source for the 0-15 gauge as the source for the boost gauge. This is easliy accomplished with a -4AN to 1/8" female NPT adapter.
Initial observations are that it is much more reactive than the FP gauge. When I key on (wait to start), the old FP gauge would jump to 3 psi's, this one jumps right up to 15 psi's. It should be interesting to see how this gauge fairs in the fogging department, the old gauge would fog slightly after a heavy rain/dew. I wasn't too concerned as it would clear right up as soon as the sun hit the gauge's face for a few minutes, though the fogging can't be good for the gauge's life expectancy IMHO. I was going to take a pic. , but it's dark now and the pic. would only be redundant. It's the gauge described above in this mount...
