No, not what youve done, what you are proposing to do to an excellent Diesel engine-turn it into a gasser, that will fail. By all means, proceed, it will be great entertainment.

What record book?

Why, I haven't accomplished anything, I hide behind a keyboard.

I think Comp isn't getting a fair shake. If people would take off the (amsoil) goggles, they could see that he's taking the right approach, in general.

Personally, I don't give a flying flip WHERE the motor comes from. It doesn't matter. All that matters is whether or not it can deliver the goods. I won't say that ANY shop can't git-er-done. Certainly Scheid is near or at the top.

What Gene is missing is that drag racing is drag racing, no matter what engine is providing the power. The same principles apply-- rev gain, tq management, traction mgmt, etc. At least Gene's good for comic relief.

Maybe the pullers should stick to the pulling they know so well, and let the drag racers do their thing.

Full stands, 100,000 in COMP speak, about 2500 in real life.

I'm not missing anything Hohn, and I hope Greg boy gets funded so we can watch this imaginary engine come apart.

They is a REASON for big iron in a Diesel. COMP still does not understand that.

Watch and learn, as a pulling engine uses raw power to get some nice times,(with real trucks, not stripped tupperware) while COMP is still grinding at his junkyard motor.

You must be referring you a tractor pull, the NHRA had over a 100,000 at that race, I would guess, that 5 minuets before the finals, would be when there wasn’t an empty seat in the house. , had John Force standing there talking to me complementing me on the truck while I was strapping in .

Somebody is truly smoking crack if they think 100,000 people were in any NHRA stands. I think the biggest stands they have is in Houston? maybe 40,000 seats.

The Daytona 500 only has around 200,000 seats, and NHRA is not NASCAR.

hey Gene

let greg do his thing and you go pull a stone or something heavy. you bicker to much about drag racing, just let it go its out of your field of expertise.

The Fat Kid

Hopefully, within the next month or so, we all may be able to see how fast a Scheid Drag Truck Engine will run in Dale and Jimmy Smith's newly built 2001 Dodge CTD drag truck which I believe they are going to run in Pro Street!

Now, it is not as "elaborate" as Greg's truck, but I saw it in person about one week ago and IMO they did a great job on building it! Hopefully they can make it to Indianapolis with the truck and personally I wish them "good luck" as they are both great guys!

no video, was done at an NHRA sanction event in front of a full stands , and on ESPN . but no video .

So, out of 100,000 people AND ESPN you mean that NO ONE viedotaped it?? LOL That sounds like a UFO story where only one guy claimed he saw it. Surely ESPN taped it... especially since it was the first run after the national anthem. Any videos of any runs at all?

I see you run NX Mike Wood the CEO of Nitrous Express was on the starting line with me, but are you one of thouse guys that want to claim it never happen. I have a NHRA certified Time Slip . I was a little busy to worry about if tape was being made so a few people could see it , it is a undisputed fact that it happen , and it ran a 8. 72 @ 154. 44 .

are you of the openion that it is a lie, maybe you would like it not to be so , but it is
