Hi Folks, here's a question from Germany. I am pretty alone here with that kinda problems, so it would be nice to hear some opinions...

I know this has been discussed to the max, but I'd like to hear some opinions, on the fact, that when driving down a grade in Lockup at mid rpm, the ticking noise disappears in the moment as I lift of the foot of the throttle and comes again with every little bit of opening the throttle again.

This leads me to the conclusion that it might not be the lift pump, because it depends on rpm and not on throttle position.

Hope there's not a problem with the Injection Pump...

The noise can be heard only with doors and windows closed and appears to come from behind the dash instruments on the left side of the engine.

I have no lack of power, smoke or mileage problems. The Truck has 100k.

Not sure if this helps but when I drove a 92 at work for a while it had a ticking noise that wound up being the primer lever on the lift pump. Hope it is that simple.

Dave
