OK, so I've been reading on and on and as yet not installed my upgrade bought last month from OEM parts. Was I suppose to even by these parts being that there is a recall ?
Should I take it somewhere to have the kit installed or, do it myself and schedule the alignment same or next day with the shop checking the 5 degrees of concern ? The thought of taking to a stealership for ANY work sends chills up my spine...
Obviously, my truck is beyond warranty, but the recall is old going back to when my truck was under warranty. Was I a fool for not paying close attention to recalls never known by never dealing with dealerships ?
Shouldn't Dave Smith Motors of Kellog, ID kept me informed of recalls ?
I remember getting notices in the mail from GM every now and then for things dealing with my 95 Suburban, why not from Chrysler ?
On a side note, I'm having DTT in Abbotsford, BC rebuild my transmission this month, rear main seal too, they are ASE certified shop for all repairs. Might I consider having them do the install ? I can't stand paying for something when I'm capable of doing it as long as I have all the information and tools required to take on the task.
BTW, regarding the pitman arm pulling issue many have mentioned in previous threads, my PA has 1/4" of gap which seems like plenty to get a puller on whereas, many others here have had it jammed on tight to the box.
