please check my sig . i tow 12,000 5th in summer and want to know how to decrease my egts and keep street/tow/race ability in balance. theres never too much power (can there be?!) but the egts are just too dang high . if i keep my foot in it i can bury the temp needle . so my question is ... what next? will a bigger turbo hurt towing? will meth injection solve the problem? i dont want to go twins yet. also dont want to get into the motor(studs). was thinking upgrade to 62/14 turbo wasted at 50 psi ,will that do it ? summer is almost here dont want a melt down!!! thanks guys!:)

yes, it buries the needle unhooked. id like to know how to keep on the throttle in the 1/4 without melting or lifting to prevent it.

You need more air for sure. Water meth would help, but you still need more air. A 62/14 would be a good choice, and then when you still want more air you will have a good top turbo for a set of twins. :D With a 62/14 you might still get some pretty good EGT's but you will be able to run the full 1/4 mile without lifting.

I would not go any larger of a single, with you towing your 5th wheel, and having an auto trans. A 62/12 might even work better towing, but the 62/14 will do a better job keeping EGT's in check at the top end.

Take a look at the web page: Source Automotive packages. It will give you and idea on some proven packages.

I tow 15k & can't get temps over 1200*. If you plan on getting injectors... . get a Super Stock 62. If you have no plans on injectors... . a Street Stock 62 or HTB2 62 will work great for you.

thanks guys ! talked to htt theyll upgrade my turbo ,though ill have to side line it for a week or two... any dyno/drags open in ct?
