Time to replace the cracked 53 block

Well it's about time to replace that hunk of **** 53 block.



What is the best service manuals for putting the 24 valve back together and putting it back in the truck? Should I get the dodge service manuals or the cummins engine manual?



I have heard stories of shops forgetting parts on these trucks during engine installs and I don't wanna be that guy. Any info will help.

I would try the Cummins manual. Hopefully it is not the one they use to train some mechanics. I have the 99 Chrysler manual but for some reason I do not trust Chrysler anymore . The Cummins manual hopefully would have the updates on any changes etc. . Be sure to check the crankshaft end play and install the tone ring. Also check clearance of CPS to tone ring.
