The first year free oil, filter and tire rotation on my 2017 3500 diesel 4x4 with factory air suspension SRW. Service rep stated tire rotation is front to back same side only, no crossover. I have always rotated my non directional tires as follows DF>DR>PF>PR>DF. Any problems my way or should I follow the dealers recommendation.

I was taught that radials should never be flipped when going on the front. So the rears go to front on the same side and the front go to the opposite rear side:

LF>RR
RF>LR
RR>RF
LR>LF

I go DF to DR PF to PR in other words front to back, back to front staying on the same side. Since I don't do a lot of driving with the truck I rotate them once a year and look at the brakes at the same time.

You’ll get your best tire wear and longevity by cross-rotating your tires.

Rotate LF to RR
Rotate RF to LR
Rotate both rears straight to the front

When the front tires are rotated to the rears going in the opposite direction, any chopping, feathering, and irregular wear will be gone in a few thousand miles.

Thanks guys.......having had around close to 18 years in retail tire sales, I have sold tires and automotive service and been around tires a little more than the average bear. :D

Additionally........just before buying my signature truck, I was able to get 154k miles out of some Bridgestone R500 HD tires on my 2014 RAM 3500 Crew Cab DRW Tradesman with the same rotation pattern, except I alternated between rear duals (only had steel wheels).

Another option which I like.
