Looking at getting 35" tires. Anyone out there running that size? I will be doing the Skyjacker 2 1/2" leveling kit. Just curious weather I will rub or not. The truck does see alot of off-road and I want to make sure everything will clear.

Thanks...

If you do a lot of off-roading then the leveling kit will not work with 35's. You will need the 4. 5" lift and you will need to change to different wheels becuase the offset of the factory wheels is positive so the tires will rub on the lower control arm. I have the leveling kit and 35's but my truck never goes off-road. When the tires are turned to where the edge is close to the bumper, there is only about a 1/2" space between the tire and bumper. (but I have a sport so the dimensions of your bumper may be different.

I have new rims so the offset helps a little. Which kit did you go with? Do you get any wrap up with the larger tires?

Thanks

Jonz, I have the 2500HD which sits a little higher than the sport.

I can do a little off-road with mine, but not any rock crawling. I have plenty of clearance with the bumper, but knew that the sharp corner on the bottom of the front fender would be a no no. So I trimmed the sharp corner round and sanded it smooth, then repainted it with primer and touch-up paint from the dealer. Now the only place that it might rub would be the inner fender bulge, but it hasn't rubbed yet.

WOWZY... .
Sounds good. Are the shocks you are running the ones that came with the kit? How do you like them? Do you have any wrap up problems? I also tow a trailer and wonder if the tire size would be a problem.

Thanks
