Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) To tap or not to tap

I agree that the stealth cover is not so stealth as far as warranty goes, but i could care less about that. it is just a lot cleaner install IMHO. I hate scotch locks and posilocs. If done correctly, the cover works flawlessly. I have installed 2 of them and had zero problems. my truck has had the cover on it for 95K miles and 5. 5 years. never touched it since install. A little dielectric grease before install and no worries.

I have the old 4 wire blue chip box that taps the wire and it has been on for 6 years... granted I don't have the box on all the time but when towing, I have it set on 15% fuel. Occasionally I boost it up to show off or get some smoke but tha is it. I have an EZ as well... I bought these things before the edge comp came out so...



if you are able to turn the comp off, I see no reason that your pump won't last. . just tap it and have fun.
