Is there a special tool available for adjusting the parking brake shoes on my 03 2500? They are waaaayyyy in there and almost impossible to reach with a normal brake adjusting tool.
Last night I fought for hours getting my rear rotors off. The backing plates are rusted out and, when I tried sliding the rotors off, the shoes just twisted and bound up tighter. With hammering on the sides of the drum part of the rotor, and rotating the rotor back and forth, I was able to get one off. On the other, I got it partly off and had to cut one of the shoes with a chisel to get the rotor off. Smashed my thumb in the process. Not happy!
Does anyone know where to get rotors that will not rust? These are my 3rd pair and are only about 4 years old and have 1/4" of rust scale on their friction surfaces.
