Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Torque plate and MPG chip???

I have a 95 and a 98. 5. The 95 is mine and the 98. 5 is my uncles, we were both wondering what size plate to put in both trucks and who to get them from. Also we have herd from a relative that there is a MPG chip or a economy chip (im not sure what to call it). both trucks are 12valves and are manuel trans. Thanks.

If both trucks are 12 valves then there can be no box or 'chip' for them. They are all mechanical injection.

If both are 12 valves then the second one is a 98, not a 98. 5!!! (98. 5 is the first 24 valve. )

Check with these guys. I have a '98 12v with a #5 plate. Huge difference.

First - both trucks should have the KDP fix done.



Then, if the clutch's are still stock, go with a mild fuel plate. See this shop TST Fuel Plate Power Kit. You can easily get more power out of the 12V than your clutch can hold.

both have the kdp done. And both are stock clutchs. and i am wrong it is a 98 and not a 98. 5 got a little confused.
