Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
My brother has a 2003 1500 qc, short bed, 2wd with a hemi and towing option. He is looking at a camper so I figured I would go to the dodge site and see what a new 1500 is rated to tow.
curb Weight with Auto 4968lb
GCVW 9500lb
so a GCVW of 9500lb - curb weight of 4968lb should mean a towing rating of 4532 lbs
but then in the towing column it says it can tow 8250!
If I take 8450, plus curb weight of 4968 I would expect to see a GCVW of 13418? I got to admit its been a while since I been in school, but is Dodge inventing there own math?
