It shifts way to early about 50mph ( I also drive like an 88 year old woman ), and 1200rpm when it gets into lockup. But only uses 4rth gear for about 1. 5 seconds before it locks up. Also once last month and once today it has'nt started. It just spinns over, nothing. I can take out my fuel system relay and change it with another and it starts and runs fine but both times I have changed it with a different relay, I think it's resetting something when I pull it out and put it back in. Anybody got any answers? Thanks for the help in advance.

For the starting problem, have you checked your lift pump operation and fuel pressure at the fuel injection pump before starting? Also, try replacing the ASD relay in the PDC (Power Distribution Center).

For the transmission problem, try replacing the Transmission Control Relay in the PDC.

Be careful about swapping out relays one for another in the PDC as you might have a bad one and could be moving it around, possibly solving one problem, yet creating others. Buy a new relay and use it to replace only one relay at a time in the PDC.

Good luck,

John L.
