I changed the ATF in the transfer case and the refill capacity I was given in my factory manuals was 6. 51 Pints. When I refilled it, it only took 6 pints not the 6. 51 the factory reference manual indicated. When it took less than the indicated amount I made sure the truck was exactly level to see if that would make a difference, it didn't. Will the 6 pint refill amount be satisfactory this winter when I use 4X4 the most? I tested the transfer case to see if it would shift and run ok and it seemed perfect. I have a 2002 4X4 quadcab automatic rattlebox.

No problem, I could only sqeeze 6 pints in mine also, no issues at all.

Tom,

Thanks for the confirmation. I thought there would be no problem but thought I'd ask the experts. I appreciate your timely response.
