Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Transfer Case

Mine and my brothers trucks, his is a 95 2500 extended cab, both have the 241 DLD transfer case. My question is what is the difference between the DLD and the DHD... can you make a DLD into a DHD?



The reason that i ask this is both of our cases rattle under hard acceleration and it is annoying. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Are you sure its not the shift lever the 94 and 95 had a bad rattle in the shifter.

The output shaft on the DHD is bigger
