I'm hoping a few people on here are familar with the inner workings of the 47RE.
The problem I have is that it goes into gear pretty hard. Instead of a nice smooth engagement, it's more like BAM... in gear. Either forward or reverse. It's done this since I bought it, and it's pretty annoying and I'm sure it's pretty hard on the entire driveline.
I'm doing a fluid/filter change pretty soon, so it'd be easy for me to pull the valve body and change parts if that's all it is.
2nd question I have, does anyone know who would carry a resuable filter? I have on in my Jeep, it's a fine brass screen that I just spray out with brake clean. Looking to find one for the truck.
3rd question. Are the 727 pans the same as the 47RE? I'm looking for a deep transmission pan, and it's easy to find 727 ones.
