Does the governor mounting plate need to be removed when changing these things or is there a clamp of some kind that holds them in. Question arises as to the gasket underneith will be required before hand. ? Thanks for your help.
No internal gaskets are needed to replace the governor pressure sensor and/or pressure solenoid. There's a metal bracket that has to be removed first, then they pop right out.
Depends on whether you want to remove the gov housing for cleaning. It can collect garbage in the passages so there is a benfit in removal. If the gasket has neve rbeen replaced I would have on on hand and replace it.
