transmission question

I had my transmission rebuilt and am having a lot of problems with my tv cable. I took it back to the place that fixed it several times and they can't seem to dial it right in like it was before I rebuilt it. I was told that the computer has to learn the way I drive... is this true? And if it is how in the heck did it learn when I first purchased it and had never been in it? One thing was I thought I may be over analyzing it and that every little thing it is doing I am watching or feeling it and there may be nothing wrong. I was the one who ended up setting the cable after the fourth time from an archived thread and it was 100% better but when reading the instructions I just didn't understrand what WOT ment so I just set it did what ever not knowing what it ment. Can anyone give some ideas or what that means? Thanks!

Generally WOT is Wide Open Throttle.

pull the cable all the way to the front of the truck then work your way back at wfo and set your shift points where u want em... . if that doesnt make sense Suncoast transmissions has some directions u can get that explains this procedure fairly well...

Matbe explain in depth what it does that you don't think it should. There are a lot of things the TV cable won't influence and some it will. Hard to tell with a description of the perceived problems.
