any ideas about why a hi milage D T T transmission gets rebuilt by a local shop and fails twice by slippage and wiping out the clutches. went in the shop with irratic lockup. replaced all worn parts and after a short trip with lockup working, tran failed with burnt clutches. back to the shop and found out that one of the soleniods had a broken spring and case. replaced with new soleniods and other parts in V. B. back on the road and after a 500 mile trip
with no lockup. got the lockup to work by rotating the tps clockwise a bit
and it worked for about 30 miles only to stop working. tran started to slip and it looks like the clutches are out again. at the same shop now, is the 3rd time around charm or stupid
