2006 Manual B1206 Trouble Shooting

You don't mention what you have. I have a 2006 3500. I bought the service manual from Geno's Garage. On page 8o-14 (o= letter oh not zero).

1) check your fuses (i would as a pre-caution disconnect you battery and wait for 2 minutes b4 pulling out the fuse)

2) beyond that you are taking your life into your own hands. The manual is explicit about that.

3) I would not recommend fooling around with the system unless you have read the manual.

The manual says "check for passenger airbag indicator driver circuit for an open", "check passenger airbag on/off switch for an open", and "test for intermittent condition"

Fuse 21 feeds the air bag controller and passenger on/off switch. If it was bad you should also have a code in the controller for missing B+. As noted, disconnect the battery and wait 2 minutes. Pull the passenger air bag on/off switch out and make sure it is plugged in properly. Inspect the connectors for damage. Beyond that you need a load tool that the dealers have to properly diagnose without risk of blowing a bag.
