I picked up the travel trailer and took it to the place we store it in winter this morning before work. My wife asked how it went, and I said, "fine; easy, no problems".
It really was easy. Backing up, hooking up, hauling the TT over in streets full of traffic, backing into the building, swinging into the spot. I do use a checklist when hooking up (developing CRS disease: Can't Remember Squat).
My point in all of this is that a very large part of what made it easy was the conversations with the helpful folks on this forum. I bought my truck in early 2013 to pull a travel trailer to do some camping as a family. I then found this forum. What followed was all types of conversation about ideas and acronyms: GAWR, GCWR, GVWR, EGR, regeneration, exhaust brake, speed-rating, load rating, tongue weight, china-bomb tires, weight-distributing, and so on and so forth (and a little more). I knew nothing at all, and now it is easy.
I just wanted to say once again: thank you.
