Okay i will try to explain this the best way I can, at speeds over 50/55 my truck has a wobble/shake, type feeling that is intermittent. It will ride nice and smooth for several minutes and then comes the shake, the shake is nothing severe that would cause you to stop but it is really annoying.

I thought it was the shocks so I did replace them (they were found to be bad) and have the tires balanced but it has not helped at all. Any ideas????

the way that I do it takes some time but it is very thorough.

jack up the front end and use jackstands on the frame rails then take the rims off and grab the rotor and try to move it up and down try to turn it to the left and right while doing all of this watch the balljoints and tierod ends. also grab the tierods and give them a good shake.

By the way make sure the steering wheel is in the locked position so that it does not turn while doing this. if there is any play in them they need to be changed.

hope this helps.

also just thought about it could also be the u-joints in the drive shaft or the center support bearing on the driveshaft if it is one of the 2 peice units.
