Not sure how to describe this, but some times under load when towing or getting on it a little bit, the truck stumbles (loses power) and I hear what sounds like air exhausting under the hood. Will not do it all the time. Just not sure what to check for. A friend told me it might be over boost or boost leaking by. I don't run it hard but some times you just have to let it open up a little and I don't think it should be doing this. I'm running a Bulldog on Performance setting and have around 73,000 miles on it. Any ideas would be helpful.

If it makes the noise when under load then a quick lift it is turbo bark. Do a search for that phrase you will have plenty of reading

Just had a very similar problem. I changed the fuel filter just to rule it out and the problem went away. I hope your issue is as simple as mine.

Bob4x4, you are right, it is turbo bark. Did a search on it, Thanks. At least now I know what I'm dealing with. Believe I can drive through it. Will also look into the BD Turbo Guard (BOV). Thanks for the help, learning is a great thing.
