truck sway

I am not sure how to explain this. Had a new set of tires placed on my 2500 (stock rims) and it sways something fierce. They replaced the front brakes at the same time. Driving in the rain and towing, I thought it might be the tires not gripping the road, but experienced the same feeling of poor control on the dry roads. Just feels lot scarier when the roads are wet. Could something have not been put back right. The sway was so bad I had them switch out the tires for a different type- no difference in sway. Never noticed it before. Any one have an explanation as to why I might be experiencing this?

Without any information on your truck, trailer, trailer towing equipment, how much experience you have with towing your trailer, wind conditions when towing, we can't offer much help.

Your truck was equipped with Load Range E tires at the factory. Was the replacement set LRE? What was inflation pressure? Your tires should probably be inflated to the maximum pressure molded on the sidewalls when towing.

New tires are almost always mushy until they "cure", it takes awhile.

Sounds like they replaced the tires with Load range D instead of E.

Ditto on the LR E tires and possibly tire pressure, or rather lack thereof, being suspect.

I suggest that you furnish the exact make, model and size tire you bought so you can get input on that exact tire. If it is a less known tire type, a picture of the tread might help also. Have you personally checked the pressure?
