I did extensive testing on the module with the WItech for 3000 miles, the host vehicle has been logged form NEW, the Stryker did not violate the EPA compliance or emission tags, its now CDX registered, If I get some free Time I will schedule certification with National Vehicle & Fuel Emissions Laboratory (NVFEL)..... I have posted the info at CF.

TC, how is the module working out so far?

Both 13/14 have been sitting do to 12/14" of snow, Next week if the weather holds out they will go to full time service for the rest of the construction season. Wingate I have only received good feedback on the Stryker. For those on the fence on the Stryker or 13/14 JWA , give it some time on the JWA before Purchase, Just like Edge of the past keeps the customers guessing with so called updates and future blessings, Who cares about levels when your foot can be the upgrade....HeeeeeHeeeee

Hey TC, have you used the BD throttle enhancer with the Stryker? Do you feel it's a necessary addition, or does the Stryker help the off the line lag. (I'm not trying to make the truck a light to light racer, but pulling into traffic with a load on is a little hairy sometimes)

TQ/MT once mastered is easily upgraded by your foot, both My trucks have Rail mods, (See picture) these 7 restrictors are only .09 holes, when removed you gain considerable better take off, Once removed you will notice exhaust changes. The BD pedal fooler just changes the % it does not add any HP, if you just push the pedal down more it does the same thing for free, Also adding loop devices generally brings on problems in the future (Stryker is not loop device ,you can remove it with the wiring harness still in place "Module") look how many of those plug and read Rail pressure gauges have cause havoc.

On side note don't mess with 6.7 Rail, they leak at times when NOT TQ or installed correctly.

Okay, so the BD is effectively giving you 75% accelerator position on take off, even though your foot is only giving you 25%. (or something like that) No timing changes, no duration changes, nothing that adds HP. It just makes the ECM think you applying more pressure to the "go pedal" than you really are.

On a different note, I have a diesel repair shop at my truck stop (I own the building, not the actual repair shop), those guys could definitely handle the rail mod. Can you tell me what exactly you are doing? What do you mean by exhaust changes? I assume you are talking about the high pressure rails between the injection pump and the injectors themselves? Does anything need to be done to the return line? If you'd prefer, I'm gonna be calling you tomorrow to order a Stryker, we can talk about the rail mods then.

Thanks!

OK.. just call. The Exhaust will change the sound after the mod, It sounds really mean after the mod and Stryker. I like it, just a little drone at WOT but throaty at 50% load or better.

I was all about increasing power with my 98 12V because it was so de tuned from the factory. I did not touch the power until it turned 100K then it went to 300rwhp and 750tq. My 11 dynod 304 at MM in 12. My point is why void your warranty since these trucks are so capable right out of the box.

Cummins12V98,They are capable ....425-435HP is sweet street power, Even the 2015 Ford 6.7 is box loaded at 440HP, I "m thinking Ram will be right their in 2015 or soon afterwards, they now have the Aisin good to 425HP+ 24/7 lifetime, the 6DR110 will be max out in 2015.

Warranty needs to be considered, thats why you don't just buy form BS grocery sellers, that offer every product that comes to market. At $20K engines you had better be just as careful as picking the women in you life, or the county will send you the bill or jail.

Yea I can't wait to see what 2015 specs will be like. I also want to let the rear air suspension option live in the real world for a bit.

Installed the Stryker last night in the 3/4 ton. (Thanks T&C Diesel!) Only went for a short test drive, but you can ABSOLUTELY feel a difference. It doesn't hit harder on initial acceleration, but once you roll into it, the turbo pressure builds faster and the truck pulls harder. I think people saying they can't feel it seat of the pants are expecting to get in, mash the go pedal, and leave two 200' long black strips behind them the way it used to be in the old days. This box will not do that. If you are looking for racing or light to light performance, this box isn't it. If you are looking for passing power and hill pulling power, you will be very happy. Will report back on drivability after I've had it on for awhile. I will also be getting one for my 1 ton, will be interesting to feel the difference with the Aisin.

If you're looking for stop light to stop light you've got the wrong truck
My point exactly! These new ones with all the torque management to satisfy the EPA are never gonna fill the sky with tire smoke and diesel smoke the way our old trucks would.
Years ago I raced a hot shot in a convertible BMW light to light. Two results:
A. He couldn't friggin believe his new BMW just got beat by a 1 ton diesel pickup.
B. He was P*ssed that he had to breath the literal cloud of black smoke I left him in. (he had his top down)

Edit: Obviously if money is no object you can still change injection pumps, turbos, exhaust, injectors, pistons, do water/meth injection, etc. But the days of a 20 minute program change and getting those kind of results are over.

Back in the 70's I had a 69 Chevelle SS396. I traded it of in 77 for a dodge colt and got married. One of the best things I ever did. (talking about the marriage) That was a great stop light to stop light machine. I kinda went through my second childhood with my 05 Ram. I could belch smoke and enjoyed an occassional dusting of a bat mobile cause I have no use for 'em.. Not far behind on my useless-ometer is lifted and piped trucks. Never had a use for them even when I was young.
My new ram exceeds the 2005 pulling 10K TT. Another thing I used to enjoy is when pulling my 35 footer: When I need to pass some one I will always try to match traffic speed in the fast lane within reason. I get a kick out of the trucks that are in the fast lane pulling their ski boats at 75 plus. They see me signal and I see the front of their rigs come up as they hit the go pedal and try to close the gap. Next is the sudden front end dip as they hit the brakes. Because once I commit to a lane change I am goin' not slowin'
Now this Stryker looks to be a good choice for those that desire a little bit more efficiency for what I bought my truck to do. I do see over at CF a couple of concerns about frequent regens and some kind of jerking going on in the trans. Would like to hear more from a more safe and sane crowd here at the TDR.
Now that the Edge JWA is released there will be opportunities to pick up a Stryker as the big b**ls, small brains crowd clamors for ever more power. Having some fun with my .02. I do enjoy the entertainment value of CF. Someone asked the other day what a PID was. I guess they couldn't spell Google LOL

Powder Extreme, I'd be curious to see what the 68 RFE will take, power wise. I know it was in the 2012 max tow for 30K GCVW with 350/800 engine, but with 4:10's.

I've got the Stryker in the 68rfe, but I really won't tow much more than 7-8k with it. I figure why risk it when I have a dually Aisin for the heavy stuff?

The ecm monitors egt and I suspect that in stock form the engine gets right up to the design max egt. Not wanting to void the warranty and then melt the engine, or spend a couple K on a turbo, I think 385/850 is pretty nice. I also like that in stock form the engine makes very little soot, so doesn't need to regen often, doesn't soot up the oil real fast, and doesn't need maintanance on the egr system. It was fun playing with the simpler, older engines and being my own warranty station, but they started out with a lot less HP, so there was more "justification" for messing with them.

Agreed. We really don't know how reliable the 13's and 14's are going to be with stock power and all the emissions changes and factory reflashes that are yet to be released and how they would affect an add on performance enhancing product. I think I would give these a year and see how many flashes and updates the product goes thru. In fact they have already updated the Stryker and offered to flash the products that were released before the latest update. Member TC Diesel has been terrific in keeping members here and at the CF posted on his impressions of the product. With access to Witech and other diagnostics he is an expert outside of TS Performance. Dennis Perry of TS also weighs in on the product frequently. They apparently are standing behind their satisfaction guarantee. I believe one CF member returned a Stryker for a policy refund after installation.

Edge just released their Insight for the 13-14s so we can monitor egt and a lot else. We will see if there is "room" for any safe uprates to the power. Diesel Dynamics was shut down 9/07 by MSD who had bought Edge. Keith is at Dynojet, the others have gone on to other professions.

I wonder what "design limit" is on EGT's. I monitor the factory after turbo temps with my Bully Dog GT. I bought the GT for 300.00 I don't use it as a tuner. These are about 300 degrees cooler than pre turbo temps as I understand it. I haven't seen much over 850 degrees post turbo even towing the 10K RV. My 2005 would easily hit 1200 plus pulling up hills and 1300 or more from time to time. The old 1200 degree limit no longer applies on the newer common rail trucks. Now if go up to post 33 I talked about getting a Stryker from someone who had to have a Edge JWA. Didn't take long. Someone at CF started a 700. by the time I read the ad he was at 580 shipped so I once I get it I will send it to TS for a new update that came out that appears to improve fuel economy by an additional 1 MPG. Most threads I read is that the average improvement was 1.5 before the latest reprogram. Perhaps this will improve by 2.5 mpg? This box is at it's best when you are using the truck for what it is intended for: pulling weight on the highway
