Well Nick, at some restaurants there is no choice but to valet. They also drive bentleys, porsches, and jaguars too so I somehow doubt they'd choose my big diesel to hotrod, but in any case, as posted above, it would be nice to keep ANYONE who drives the truck out of the power choice if possible.
Man ive been to the finiest dining her in chicago. No valets take our cars here. Good thing. Id be worried aabout my grandfather. Hes got a Maybach 57. I know some idiot would go show-boating that thing . Sorry about the non-subject comments... BACK TO THE TST POWERMAX CR!!!
I actually have a question on the subject matter kinda. Anyone know how the edge will compare to the tst... Looks like since the dyno charts came out i dont think the banks chip is gonna sell anymore :-laf . Edge better have something insane up there sleeve. .
I'm not 100% sure why it blew, I was hiting around 43lbs of boost on setting 8 and TQ# on 1. I think it let go right when I let out of it. The B-1 has added even more midrange power to the same setting. We got another 6in of snow but they got it cleared off real quick. I was coming home on the highway and the road wasnt snowy or wet, it was dry from all the traffic. I had the HP on #3 and TQ on 2, and I was going 65mph and now with the new turbo I could break the tires loose. I know the payvment was cold but it was dry. EGT's are cooler but didnt get much of a chance to really check it out, so tomarrow I'll be doing that. OH, I was hitting 45lbs of boost on that low of a setting too!:--)
Yep. I agree. I think an EZ will give me all I want. It's also easy to take out. I think I'll keep it simple.
It is interesting reading though. I like the 1700 RPM torque peak. I look forward to reading about the next generation of products from Edge. I don't think they will need to match the power of this box to be successful. As I understand it, you can't use all that this box is capable of because you can't manage the heat. That's kind of like having a hot girl friend that you can't touch.
yes, if you can't sustain those levels of power then what is the use? dragracing? i didn't buy a TRUCK for dragracing.
looks like all i need now is a REAL turbo if i compliment my truck with the tst box* - there is no way the HY35 will be able to keep up. note that the TST website states using stock exhaust, intake..... maybe for a few minutes.
keep the info flowing..... any word on fuel mileage?
thanks
*and a transmission that can harness all that power $$$$
I dont understand what TST's deal is. They have come out with what seems to be THE MOST powerful box out. Why do they have to go an tarnish their image by lying with the 'all achieved with stock turbos, etc, etc" statement? Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Well considering our boy Floor it just blew his turbo in a matter of days, I don't think the TST box works so well with stock anything... This box is sure gonna be a good battle between self control and destroying your truck! Sweet!
Anyone familiar with power mods knows the relationship between EGTs and fuel. When you step into the power bomb world, you have to take responsibilty and ownership to undertand your truck, driving conditions, etc, and understand what a dyno run is -- 90 seconds or whatever on rollers.
I don't get why you guys are dissing TST. they haven't said anything that isn't true -- read the dyno charts for what they are for pete's sake. Use the EGT-based defueling and practice responsible bombing.
