I've been tossing this idea around for a while but wasn't sure it would work. So I finally had the gumpshun to try it. I have had my HY-35 and a Banks 4" exhaust brake shelved since I got a bigger spinner for the 01. So I figure I'll try it on the 93 5 speed. It fit!!!!! :)

I still have to work out some loose end though. The manifold studs came out with the nuts and I CANNOT get them off. The bottom rear stud is still not on because of same. I had to cut and reweld the down pipe to fit but you can see in last pic I have some work ahead. I'll have to do it the hard way such as refab the X-member diagonal brace or do allot of mitered elbows. Otherwise I might have to change my Sig.

I have some old style air split shift pull switches and I'll put one on the shifter to operate the brake.

4 inch exhaust

Just a side thought. The shop I go to plans to put a 4 inch turbo back system on my truck and I asked how they handle the transfer case area. His answer was they come outside the frame just ahead of the transfer case, bypass the tight spot and come back in about 6 iinches behind then no problems from there back. He said they use 3 bends to accomplish the in and out. RC

Ah isn't it cute, just a lil guy hy-9 turbo:-laf. Talk about choking and restrictive. I'd be worried about that exhaust brake closing and sending that lil hy upstream into your intercooler:eek:. I'm just giving ya a hard time:D.

But with his Hy35-9, he'll have one of the fastest spooling stock 93s around. If you go much more than 225hp,l you'll need the H1C back.
