Hey Mike, figured I'd post on this since nobody else is #ad

What the hell does this thing do anyway?

MCrossley, I'm no expert, but I'd suspect that that would be used in an aftermarket application of a turbo to a previously non-turbocharged engine or to an engine used in racing applications. Our engines come with boost control in the form of a wastegate controlled by an actuator at a preset level of 21 psi (stock that is #ad
)

It looks like a pretty cool deal. Definatly designed for gassers that face extreme detonation and heat problems when boosted to high.

That thing is really a two stage boost elbow if you can imagine that. You adjust the bleeders on the two solenoids say one for 30 and one for 40psi. So you drive around on the low setting and then flip the dash mounted switch and your set at a higher setting. Seeing how high boost is good for the most part on diesels It would be a cool smoke box. With some DDIIIs you could put one of the settings on STOCK. You get a tailgator and flip the switch and hammer down lol. Sorry for the long post, I tried all kinds of homebrew boost controlers on my gasser and I wish this one was out then.

The way I read this is it could be used as a boost limiter(valet switch). One switch could be set to open a your now boost and the other at a low boost level. Kind of spendy. #ad

Yes I am aware of how our charged air sytem works and you are correct this is for the more racing heavy boost applications. This is why I named it for the turbo Gods, this is something that Nowel and the twin turbo guys would be interested in because they could use this along with some electronics to be able to customize where the boost kicks out for each turbo. You could use it as a vallet switch I would think but that would really only give you black smoke.
