Picked up a spare HE341, thought of rebuilding and keeping as a spare.
Now I've been thinking of making a hybrid.
what are the options?
A: thought of changing the charge side to 351 housing and wheel.
B: port and polish both sides and open the exhaust bypass and add the 351 side.
C: aftermarket housing and wheel?

Are the 341 and 351 the same except the compressor side?
Is it worth doing anything or just sell as is?

I have the stock 03 setup now, I plan on using a 04.5-07 cast elbow I have when I add a Pacbrake, so that's why I was thinking of staying with stock stuff.
Truck does ok now but I'd like to see a drop in EGTS a lil.

Ideas?

Thanks guys.

PS, anyone wanna donate to the cause the parts needed?

Lots of options. I had tater turbo mod mine, 62/65 wheels.

The 351 has a different compressor and electronic wastegate.

$1100

I dong think there r any options avail. for the exh housing.
Dont go to big on the wheel sizes..... the exh housing is small.

On the 351 i was told by turbo resource to only enlarge the exh wheel to a he351ve wheel (60-70) and leave the compresser side alone.*

Do u know the wheel sizes of the 341?

I can confirm the above, measured with digital calipers on both.
i know supposedly the 351ve inducer is a slight upgrade over the 351cw, both are 60mm inducer but the VE has a larger exducer.
i think my terminology is right...
