Did anyone else notice this?

I'm not sure why people hate these guys... o_O Why isnt the EPA going after Hollywood for all the Fast and Furious movies encouraging people to modify their gasoline cars? When is PETA going to start fining hunting shows for hurting someones feels? Are we going to be that kinda of society? If this is what people want then go visit the UK for awhile and you'll start to understand what its like when society is constantly monitored and neutered at every move. Everyone has a dull glow about them because Government shadows their lives.

Hey, I'm no fan of "rolling coal" but its just a frigging TV show... Grow up peeps. There's bigger issues out there in the world worthy of your attention.

It's got nothing to do with rolling coal for me, though flaunting it is not real bright. I just don't like the way they act, and come across, much like Beavis and Butthead, but non-animated. I seldom watched it for that very reason.

Buy you do know that the only reason they act like this is to attract an audience.....which is all perpetrated by the producer in order to generate that base. This is common knowledge and something they do with all reality TV shows. So dont be so hard on Beavis and Butthead because they're probably nothing like that in real life and are only doing what they're told.

I totally agree, I'm just not a fan of their builds...at all. I can easily change the channel. There's no hatred here, just saying I won't miss that show if it goes away.

I havent seen their show in a years sooooo...that just shows how much I care. BUT...what I do care about is when people revolt on free enterprise and capitalism yelling and screaming like some communistic group lashing out against something like this when all they have to do is change the channel.
When enough people dont watch then the show is cancelled and problem solved for all the haters...

Noooooo! I totally thought it was real. I am heartbroken:D

The show got silly, like real quick. BUT, I don’t ever recall them promoting emissions deleting and/or selling deleted trucks on the show, let alone rolling coal. I could be wrong, I stopped watching after a season or so.

I mean it appears they broke the law. But in my opinion that article reeks of bias and a hit piece for diesels and, more accurately, diesel owners.

more details on what exactly they did wrong and how the hell did they come up with $850K worth of fines would be nice to know also.

So you dont watch WWF either? ;)

Friends,

EPA is going after the sources, big sellers and manufacturers, just like DEA goes after the drug producers and sellers. Next targets will be the users. The law is the law.

I've been reading EPA enforcement for a while and there are no innocent parties... they knew what they were doing and got caught. Just like right now on this website, there are folks talking about deleting as all this enforcement activity is going on. You think the EPA may also have the names and personal info on the buyers too? I read $250 fine for each single component and software... at the user level it's $25K to $30K per component. I wonder if vehicles might be seized once ID'd?

Let's all watch and see as enforcement increases... I'm sure it'll be reported here.

Cheers, Ron

This post^^^^^ because even though "the law is the law" we still have the capacity and freedom as a society to talk amongst ourselves without the threat of prying digital eye's using these websites to uphold the law. Imagine the day when you share about your build and a letter shows up at your door letting you know of your violation and appropriate fines for committing the crime. Think this wont happen? I fear the day it does...because at the rate we're going it seems that kinda of invasiveness is inevitable.

You misunderstand my post, I wasn't inferring folks talking about deleting on this site would get caught on this site, my inference was that they are deleting while SEEING enforcement is increasing. I don't think I even made a comment about Feds using websites or digital media to catch violators... my point is the big manufactuers, the sellers, and most buyers know it's against the law and still do it. So, I hope you understand where I'm coming from before resorting to disguised cussing.

I didnt misunderstand your post but merely pointing out what you maybe unintentionally revealed... Law enforcement already uses Facebook and other social media history to aid in convicting people. Heck, social media is also a major proponent some businesses use to vet potential employees. So why would anyone think posting pictures and information on what you may or may not be doing illegally here on these forums is any different?
