For all you guys running twins Im thinkin of building a set for my 2000 24V so far I've found that a lot of guys are running the htb3 for the big turbo they said the come on the 855 cummins which covers a lot of modles could some one tell me is the htb the actual brand name of the turbo or is this a modle # if so who makes it also thought of running the stock hx35 for the little turbo some say itwill run to hot what is the best sugestion for the combo and no I dont want to buy one ready made I like to do my own fab work manley because I just like to fabricate stuff also should I run the after market wast gate where could I find these parts TDR is great and all you guys are really help full thanks in advance Mark.

The stock turbocharger on your Dodge Ram is the Holset HX-35. This is your small, or secondary charger and will mount on your exhaust manifold after it is flipped upside down.

The big charger will be the Holset HT3B, this will be your primary turbocharger and it will mount under the secondary turbo and a bit rearward.

This turbocharger is cheap, durable and somewhat easy to obtain. It is also big and will move a lot of air, cooling your intake air charge.

If I were in your shoes I would build it with an S400 for the bottom charger instead of the HT3B, it will light quicker and moves just as much if not a little more air.

Come on guys! All you gearheads out there that has been messing around with twins and no one has the time to give him alittle imfo. Thats what made this place so great was all the people that used to be helpful, any more its hard to get anyone to answer you.

Also if his truck is a 6 speed it will have the hx 35.

2000 came with a HY-35 not an HX-35 an HY-35 is smaller than an HX-35

Need to do your reasearch sorry I did'nt mention it but my truck is a six speed to my knowledge the 2000 to 02 manual trucks still run the HX35 only the auto trucks had the HY untill the third gen then all are the HY the HX has a 12cm exh housing the HY is 9cm thanks

thanks for the info I've talked to some guys that ran twins at IRP and the said the stock HX-35 still runs to hot ya think I should run the HX-40 for the small charger instead

can some one come up with some differnt turbo options for the big charger and tell me what they came on for example the detriot 60series runs are garet charger would this work?how about a charge off an old 71 or 91 series or a cat what do they run how do you tell what size the charger is and what will work? thanks Mark.

It won't be too hot after you tune your 38mm external Tial wastegate.

The Hx-35/HT3B combo will be fine for a handy DIY guy like yourself. A twins starter kit, if you will. :D

It depends on how you have your truck setup and what your going to do with it. My twins do just fine cooling a set of F1 EDM injectors and #10 plate. The setup that I am running is a PDR HX 35 and a BHT3B... .

Make sure you at least check out Source Automotive. They seem to have a pretty good assortment of parts flanges etc. In some cases it might be cheaper than trying to fabricate everything from scratch.

I have also been researching twins, I think I have decided on the hx-35 and ht3b because it is more of a "starters twins". from looking at other peoples setups, this should hold a set of 150hp sticks fairly easily. Around town and towing I will be running bd 110hp sticks that should spool them decently.

Keep us updated on your truck as any advice is great!

That's my setup!

12 cm HX35 on top

HT3B on the bottom. Hand fabbed by my buddy Sean and myself.

Runs VERY nice and cool with 120 hp sticks and the Edge Juice

Think BARELY 1000 degrees on an 8% grade grossing 14k lbs @ 85 mph

I've setup the Juice to backdown at 45 psi of boost and on level 3 it has to back it down 78% It would build 60 I'm sure.

Very close to 600 hp right now and might get 650 out of it with an o-ringed head.
