1. ) With the AHC (trailer tow package), is there a transmission cooler?

2. ) Has anyone installed the MOPAR foglights after delivery?

TIA :)

Yes. As a matter of fact, there was a recent recall on the 03's & 04's to replace one of the transmission cooler lines.

I believe the cooler is on all automatic-equipped trucks, not just those with the towing package.

Don't know about the fog lights. I have the impression that the're not too well though of here on the TDR. Could be wrong about that. I don't have 'em either.

Well I had thought about it, when I ordered my CTD, but thought it was kinda pointless. Not like we get alot of fog in south florida. But know, I'm like they look so sweet. The holes in the bumper have these funky black like grill in them. They're okay. Now that I have my truck, I would rather shoot myself in the foot before I took my baby back to the vultures... oops, I meant dealers.

Get the fog lights... anything to help out the poor headlight system that Dodge is using in our trucks.

I can run with the high beams on and hardly anyone flashes me, that's how lousy they are.

Upgrade the bulbs to euro-spec (100W) and order a bright box kit from Geno's. It turns both hi and low beams on at the same time. Either that, or wait and hope DC finally offers HID (Xenon) lighting on $50k trucks. You know, like the ones you get std. on $20k-$30k Jap cars, LOL! Hell, I'd even pay for 'em as an option if they'd offer them.

easy to install and work great

they are very easy to install and if you want them to be switched independantly all you have to do is run the purple wire to the hot wire and you can turn on/off any time

Only gripe on fog lights is that there not independently switched.

I don't know about yours, but I can turn my light switch to "Park" , and then pull the switch knob out a bit, and the "fog" lights come on without the headlights being on.

That's good enough for me, and I use them this way very often!

I do run in park with the fog lights now. Park turns on all the running lights and cab clearance lights. I would like to run them w/o turning on the 18 other bulbs that park energizes. Just means more frequent bulb maintenance. Small gripe I know.

I have like no complaints, because in comparison to my Mustang I can like see a week in advance. The 'stang's headlights start to like build up this film on the plastic lenses. Then you use that 3m stuff to clean and polich the lense to clean it off. But do I need to order the Mopar kit because it has the wiring harness? Or can I get like one of the aftermarket kits? Also how do I get that black frame like thingy out?

TIA

:)

Okay... but what about the transmission cooler thingy? I'm a tad concerned as I do alot of driving (ie: 5 and 1/2 days old and 738 miles) I'm worried that I should invest in either an aftermarket transmission cooler or the MagHytec transmission pan. My BF said I'm worry too much, but damn it's my baby! Any thoughts?

TIA

:)

My thoughts on automatic transmissions are; one, they will run cooler with a good high quality Synthetic ATF, and two, the MAg-Hytec Deep Dish pan will certainly help as well.

Anytime you can reduce the ATF in a transmission will indeed give your automatic longer life... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... . this has been proven over and over throughout the years.

All Cummins motored Auto have transmission coolers. If you look under the hood you will see a number of coolers the front is AC(black) then intercooler (black) transmission cooler (silver) below that power steering cooler(silver) and fnally all the way at the back will be the Rad (silver)
