Good Deals on Trucks?

P.T. Barnum was right ... theres one born every minute...

Hey what was it??

On Sunrise Highway parked in a shopping center was what looked like a white pickup truck, the bed was 8 feet long and about 4-5 feet off of the ground and it was attached to what looked like a Chevrolet Top Kick front end, it had 4 doors like a crew cab, fuel tanks on both sides like a tractor. It was a diesel, the engine was running with the ac on and the driver was sleeping inside the cab. Hey it was 7:00 am and I was not about to wake him up. What was I looking at? Vehicle wise that is! LOL It was one nice machine! Had Jersey plates. I could see myself driving to work in that rig and those cross country trips would be a dream for sure!! Any ideas are appreciated Thanks!!

There's a lot of them around here. You can buy them at your local Chevy dealer. I think they start around $60K. Most have CAT diesels and are used to pull large boats.

i've seen a few also . . basically a topkick chassis with the pickup bed added to it . . same deal with the f650 and f750s . . heck there was a guy with a f650 or 750 that converted his to 4wd had it in Four Wheeler magazine or one of them last year looked sick. .

you can get a 8. 3L in themm heck i'd like to swap in a series 50 detroit 4cyl 315 hp 1000 something torque and real jakebrake hehe a f750 crewcab with a daully bed and big old 2 1/2 ton front military drive axle 22. 5" polished aluminum wheels, series 50 detroit, 8ll transmission hehewould be nice

UFO or should I say UDO

This bad boy was a dually and the tires looked around 20 inch Ricksons. It might have been 4X4. I would have loved to talk with the owner, but I dare not wake him from his sleep. Man, what a way to "Boogie on down the road"

I even called the misses to let her know what I saw!! LOL

Thanks for your replys.

Saw an article in the Farm Show mag several yrs. ago. You can buy the beds for the medium duty trucks. Don't recall the details anymore.

That's it !!

Now that is a cool ride, guess I could tow anything I need to with that truck. So where do we find one used??

Thanks

Didn't Ford also sell those with 650 and 750 chassis? I think they were called SuperCruzers or something like that. They had Cat and Cummins available too.
