Unfair?

I was reading the ABC news site just a minute ago and they had an article about men being forced to pay child support even when DNA testing showed that they were not that child's father. It went on to say that in 30% of the tests done to determine paternity the, the man tested was not the biological father.

I find it quite disturbing that accurate scientific proof could exist that shows that someone is not the father of a child and yet he would still be *forced* to pay child support.



Any thoughts?

What is even sadder to me is that the MOTHER of this child has NO IDEA who the father IS. :-{}

Rights or wrong?

I have seen this case and others, I believe there was one in Texas to. In that case the man was married to the woman for 12 years, two boys that were supposed to be his. As soon as he found out through DNA testing that the boys wern't his, he went to court and tryed to get out of child support. The judge said tough and made him pay. What was sad about the whole thing is that the two young boys were ignored by the only man they knew as father. The father has a right to be angry, but to take it out on the kids, is wrong. I think the judge should have used a little common sense and pulled both the mother and the father into the chambers, set some ground rules, and came to a mutual understanding/agreement on the well being of the kids.

What it tells me is we should have more self control and not be so captivated and controlled by something that in reality looks and smells like roadkill. If we were a little more selective in our 3 minute adventures there would be a lot less of this sort of mess to read about. As hard as I put my mind to it, I can't think of anything that I would want to ride so bad that I would willingly jeopardize my health and possibly set myself up for a lifetime of emotional and financial responsibility for a three minute ride. Not even the new H/O 6spd! And the posessor of that H/O 6spd wants to screw you out of as much as he can get out of you too. It all depends on how willing you are to be set up for disaster. But I remember the days when after the fourth beer the little honeys knew how to shake their money makers and lure the guys right into their trap. And that trap door sounds like a clap of thunder when it gets you. I fought for custody of my daughters and won. I'm not even sure they're both mine but I'll raise them as they are and never question it. I'm content knowing that my ex isn't getting a dime of my income and the two girls who call me daddy are getting a proper upbringing.

Just to be fair, I warn them of the snakes in this world who call themselves gentlemen. They lure the women with promises of security and stability and then give them he!!. It goes both ways.
