I was reading several interesting articles and comments today in the latest TDR issue 64 on the subjects of "junk science" (my words, not TDR) and use of non-standard fuels.

TDR writer and scientist Joe Donnelly, who holds a Ph. D. in chemistry, suggested it is wiser to invest time and money in proven old-fashioned science than such ideas as hydrogen fuel. I'm paraphrasing Joe's comments from memory.

My guess is Joe would know if magical creation of internal combustion engine fuel from water or air is reasonable or practical.

I'm a pretty dull old guy with limited imagination. I think I'll stick with # 2 diesel fuel.

... ... ... ... . not to mention alternative fuels are illegal at this time. Explain jars as an approved dot option :-laf

OK I use one quart canning jars, like six of them,to hold the water and baking soda!!!!

Maintance wise, When traveling long distance like 3-400 miles I do open tool box, look at jars to see what color and if they are low on water on a daily basic, like checking the oil level after a hard pull. If it quits working so what!! I am just down to regular milage and when I get to destination rewind wiring in bottle. If you buy one of the plans or kits they supply forms to turn in for tax credits so I do not understand illegal or "dot approved option"
