A couple of weeks ago I posted for ideas about what might be causing a stumble at idle, which graduated to the idle speed kind of rhythmically going up & down. You guys had some great ideas and I wound up finding a few metal shaving in the pump, which helped me to decide to pull it and have it gone through.

Well, the injection pump has been finished and we got it put back in last night -- boy, I've got some respect for you guys that can do that in under 90 minutes!! Several skinned knuckles and contortions later -- you know that wonderful 3rd bolt behind the pump - -the pump was on and everything torqued down. It was getting late so we didn't get the throttle linkage back together, but we had to try it to see how it would run. Pump, pump, pump, check for fuel, crank -- dang, nothing! pump, pump, bleed. . . crank -- it catches! Wahoo! :p

After the fuel got flowing and the idle evened out we just sat and listened to the music -- nice even music, no up & down to it at all!

Tonight I'll get the throttle linkage back on and take it for a test drive. It might even be ready to go to Canada this weekend for my fishing trip!!

Many thanks to those who helped -- you guys are great! Scott, I'll get your bolt in the mail to you as soon as I can get over to Cummins and get some new O-rings for the modified one you sent me.
