Urethane Suspension Components

I am going to replace a bunch of bushings to tighten up the ride. I have been looking at energy suspension products. I would like to do the whole front sway bar, rear sway bar at the axle with greasable bushings,and teh bushings on the top of the front shocks. It is the front shocks that bring up the question. Has anyone replaced these? The rubber ones are really sloppy but Energery Sus. does not make them for specific applications just by size, etc. Does anyone else make these products at the same quality or better than ES? Does anyone know a part number?

Well Ted all I can tell ay is eurethane is A: Squeaky over time (sounds like an old wagon)



And B: the ride wil become "Jolty " As the rubber absorbtion quality that is factored into a suspension system is now reduced.

I had a truck that I did that was ALL euro and man the noise erked me so bad to the point I would "Lube up" before going out.



I have done many suspension lifts in many trcuks and every body wants euro (Mainly the show boys who want color) Yeah eurothane has less friction but I would only do sway bars and shock mounts. I wouldn't concider Control arms as they will squak at every chance they get HOWEVER ... . There are zirk fitted eurothane kits that are entering the market more and more and those ARE the ticket.





As for the shocks most performance shocks come with them.

I had Poly bushings in my sports cars and i agree, very sqeaky if you dont have grease fittings installed. The ride does get stiffer in a car, i am guessing the truck would ride tight too. Does Energy make a kit for the Ram specifically?

I am going to replace the rear axle sway bar mounts with greaseable for sure. I am having a bit of side to sie slop in my front shocks and much of it is in the bushing at the top do you have any other suggestions? Does someone make a rubber replacement that is higher quality than DC?

Here is the LINK to energy suspensions application list for the dodge. At the bottom page is the 4x4 ram. They make a number of products and others are avalible as I understand it but are not specific but done by size. They do control arm bushings, rear spring bushings, body mounts, full front sway bar kit, and tie rod boots. Much of there product line is not made for specific applications due to multiple applications.

i am a bilstein fan and that is what is in there. I am getting slop in the bushings on top and that mixed with the completely shot rear sway bar links make for a bit of an issue.

Oh yes I am also an AVID Bilstein fan as well (best imo) However with the heavy cummins I would use a larger piston (I. E a pro comp) shock up front. That is why I like the Pro comps as the are just one of the companies that offer a large piston diameter shoch.
