Is anyone interested in getting one of these bumpers?

I spoke with my local distributor today, they wont send any unless more interest is generated.

If youre interested, I spoke to Lindsey, at Bushranger 609-597-8771.

He told me that if we could put together an order of 10 or 20, he'd cut us a sweet deal.

IMO, these bumpers are built the way Dodge should have done it.

I saw one on a Ford, it's a work of art!!

These are made in Austrailia, and fords are much more common there. Just to tool up for the Dodges will take some orders placed.

I'm not getting anything to put this up, I just want one of these beautiful bumpers!!!:D

To order one (Assuming they'll tool up for one) will cost about $200. 00-$300. 00 more than if we could place an order for say 10.

Most of this is due to shipping costs.

Something else to add is that they have the option now of a front receiver hitch where the winch mount is now... ...

They are a sweet bumper... ... I just can't justify one right now.

What's the price range? It does look way cool, is that chrome or stainless? I like the chrome look, that's the main reason I'm kinda hesitant to get a "bigger" bumper, you get better protection, but you lose that awesome blinding front end. Most of the other after market bumpers are color matched, but this one looks "shiny". I like it!

Theyre polished aluminum. I dont know an exact weight, but the guy that sells them has one for a Ford. He said it took 3 men to lift it.

I dont know if he was exagerating(sp?)?

I believe it's either 3/8" or 1/4".

I saw the one the owner has on his ford. It's built like a brick s#thouse!!!

Oh yea, it has tabs if you'd like to mount extra lighting. :D

I hope we could get an order for a few going, I'd really like to get one!!

Problem is, the manufacturer in Austrailia is reluctant to tool up unless he has some concrete orders with deposits.

Lindsey at Bushranger is working on that.

Eric

PS $1625. 00 is a "tenative price". All depends on the volume ordered. Costs much more to ship one or two than say 10.

Gotta remember, theyre coming from Austrailia.

He showed me the e mail he got from the owner of UTE. Believe me when I tell you guys, he aint making squat on this deal at this price.

C'mon, put your tax refunds to good use!!!:D

Super Deal!

Following is a cut-and-paste of an email I received from the president of Ute Industries last night. I bugged him right off the get-go about these bumpers so anytime anything remotely relevant to them happens I get an email from him :D!

Jason,

Here's a news flash for you. Since none of our dealers or warehouses have

bucked up to place a full order for the Ram Bullbar, we will do an initial

release ourselves. We need to get these Bullbars out to the public so that

folks can see them.

Here's the deal and you can help to make it happen. For the first 50 Dodge

Ram Bullbars ordered and checks received, Ute Ltd will grant the special

price of $1100 each. Customer will have to pay the shipping from Kent, WA

or arrange to pick it up at our warehouse in Kent. (Note that this price is

for pre-paid orders only. ) Once we receive the first 30 paid orders, we

will start production. It will be approximately 6 weeks for production and

shipping to the states. This is about a 50% savings. This is a special

deal for you turbo Diesel Register fans.

Ute Ltd will take orders for the Dodge Ram Bullbar directly through our

information request form on the web site or by sending your request to

-- email address removed --

We will post a special "Ram count down" on the home page of the web site so

folks can keep checking the status. Let's see just how serious these Ram

owners are about Bullbars!

Cheers,

So there it is fellas-if we want 'em we can get a screaming discount for being the 1st guys in. Hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by posting this info with price etc. -don't think so as I have no monetary interest in the deal but if I am moderators please feel free to let me know :p .....

I'm still on the fence although this offer is getting closer to pushing me off it! :)

I want one for $1100

So what do we do, go ahead and e-mail the guy, or should we organize ourselves. I want to be one of the original 30 for $1100. Oo.

Patriot, not trying to put the monkey on your back, but is it possible to find out the weight on these? I'd like to get an idea what shipping would be from Kent, WA. , as well as weight for the front of the truck. My dilemna is that I'm only a short drive away from Denver Off Road which would eliminate shipping, but the special price may offset the benefit if shipping is reasonable. Thanks. If you prefer me to e-mail Ute, just let me know.

I think the final piece of the puzzle is the shipping arrangements and costs from the left coast to the right coast.

Any TDR Hot Shots out there:confused:

I'll find out!

I will e-mail Randy back and ask him a weight and if he can give a rough idea of shipping to various parts of the US-they've shipped their Ford stuff all over I'm sure so he should be able to get us an answer... .

Probably won't hear back from him until Monday now though-but as soon as I do I'll post it up here

I think you'd be best to e mail UTE direct.

This deal blows my dudes deal away!!!!

Now to find out how to ship it to New Jersey. And how much that will cost.

I hope it's protected well, I'd hate to get it all scratched up.

Eric

I should have gotten all this in 1 post..... oh well running up my post counts a little bit! Like Eric I have seen a Ford version in person-and I had the same opinion as him-it's a work of art! I would almost feel bad hanging one on the front of my truck for the rocks to rattle off... ... almost :D. They are super-stout-3/8" aluminum construction and incredibly shiny. If you want some more info on it email Randy at Ute ( -- email address removed -- ) or have a look at this post- https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33966

Hopefully I'll get an answer from Randy here promptly with some shipping prices for you guys so we can get this thing rolling-for me I'll probably seize the opportunity to cross the 49th and pick it up myself..... any NW BOMBers in Kent or area? :)

I have my warehouse working on the freight rates. The problem is, we never

ship one at a time, so I don't know what it will be. Here is what I propose

to do. First of all, I will get the rates from our warehouse gal and give

you some idea of what the range will be. Once we have our orders I will try

to consolidate as much as possible in order to get the best rates. In other

words, if we have a bunch of requests from around Oklahoma, we will ship all

of them to a local dealer. Then I guess they will have to have a big

mount-em-up barbeque or something.

We will figure it out. If some of our TDR members have "hot shot" rigs,

they may be interested in doing a delivery run or two. That will more than

pay for their own bullbar and expenses.

What ever we can do to make this happen and try to make everybody happy.

The shipping weight is about 150 lbs. I saw the note that someone posted

stating that it took 3 guys to mount a Ford Bullbar. What a joke. I have

mounted several of these Ford bullbars "by my self" in as little as 15

minutes with hand tools. The Ford Bullbar is heavier than the Dodge by

about 15 pounds.

To mount the Dodge Ram, the easiest way is to mount the steel mounts to the

truck then add the aluminum afterwards. The lights then have to be wired

into the existing turn signals. All this will take about an hour with hand

tools. If anyone is planning on mounting a winch, they will need to order a

winch box to go with their Bullbar. It is an additional $100 and will add

more time to the mounting process.

TorkLift has the front receivers that bolt into the steel mounts in a few

minutes. TorkLift warrantees this item for life and states that it is

strong enough to lift the truck off the ground. Anyone can order these

directly from TorkLift. www.torklift.com . I think the cost about $80

plus freight and can be sent UPS.

I hope this answers some of the concerns people have. I will be posting a

web page in the next day or so that will have specs and details of this

offer. I will e-mail you when the page is done.
